Below are regional airlines with arrivals and departures from Phillip S.W. Goldson International Airport to airstrips throughout the country. Both run frequent flights and are similarly priced.

Driving to our home from the international airport takes approximately 2.5-3 hours. The drive is beautiful as well as an experience. However, many streets are unmarked and there are no street lights outside city limits so we do not recommend making this drive after dark.
Booking a hopper flight from the international airport to the Dangriga or Placencia airstrip on Maya or Tropic Air will put you within a 40-minute drive to the house from either airstrip. Dangriga is north of the house while Placencia is south. Be sure to leave a minimum of 60 minutes between your arrival time in Belize and the departure of your hopper flight to get through immigration, customs, and security screening.
Rental Car Service
Renting an SUV is a must due to local road conditions outside of city limits. Typically, only highways and in-city roads are paved and rental companies do not allow regular auto/sedan rentals to be taken ‘off-road’.
Belize City
Crystal Car Rental as well as Budget Rent-a-Car are available at the international airport if driving from Belize City to the property.
Dangriga
Hopkins Rental is available if flying to Dangriga (no website, only Facebook page). This is a small family owed business located in Hopkins. They are reliable and will make arrangements to meet you at the airstrip with the rental vehicle and will do the same on the return trip.

Placencia
Budget Rent-a-Car as well as Barefoot Rentals are available in the area. We have not used Budget or Barefoot but if you’re looking for a larger more well-known rental agency, you can fly into Placencia and reserve a vehicle with one of these operations.
